Whom will I talk to?
You’ll connect with a licensed provider from the Cedars-Sinai team, following the same clinical standards you expect from us.
How does a telehealth visit work?
You’ll meet with a provider through a secure video or phone visit. They’ll ask questions, review symptoms and recommend next steps.
Is my information secure?
Yes. Cedars-Sinai follows strict healthcare privacy standards to protect your information, documenting it in your digital health record, which can be accessed by your Cedars-Sinai providers when needed.
Do I need to download an app?
No, you do not need the app. Cedars-Sinai Connect works on most smartphones, tablets and desktops—both as an app and as a webpage.
Can medication be prescribed?
If clinically appropriate, your provider may recommend treatment or prescribe medication.
How much does a visit cost?
Costs vary, but you can pay for telehealth visits using your health insurance. We collect copayments and/or coinsurance in accordance with your insurer’s policy. Most major insurance plans are accepted.
Can children or older adults receive care?
Sick care covers people aged 3 and up; primary care covers adults 18 and up. Behavioral health is available for adults in California for mild-to-moderate anxiety and depression.
What if I need in-person care?
Your provider will quickly outline the best next steps, and sometimes that means scheduling an in-person appointment.
